Access to those types of resources is usually unobtainable to the backbone of our economy – small businesses. That’s why our services are so vital to entrepreneurial success. We are paired with universities because of how we operate, which is by offering information and expertise that educates business owners so they can make the most informed decisions for their company.

Focused on creating economic impact through the counseling and training of businesses with fewer than 500 employees, the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is part of a large cooperative network of Centers sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and directed by institutions of higher learning. Our SBDC serving northwest Missouri falls under the management umbrella of Northwest Missouri State University, which is located in Maryville, Mo. and Kansas City.
The SBDC in Northwest Missouri covers the nine counties of Atchison, Nodaway, Worth, Gentry, Holt, DeKalb, Clinton, Andrew, and Buchanan. Services are offered on-site and via video chat or teleconference for your.
So what, exactly does our team do? The SBDC helps business owners and potential entrepreneurs meet today’s competitive challenges.

There is never a charge for the SBDC consulting services because all the services are subsidized by the U.S. SBA and the University to help grow the region’s economy.
